All Stalker 2 artifacts and how to get them

Our list of Stalker 2 artifacts includes every artifact in the Zone, their unique effects, and where to find them in The Heart of Chornobyl.

What are all the Stalker 2 artifacts? These radioactive items were once ordinary objects, but their exposure to anomalies within the Zone has imbued them with supernatural properties. Veteran stalkers will be well-versed in the power artifacts hold, but GSC Game World’s sequel has plenty of new artifacts to collect and use.

All artifacts have a chance to drop from Stalker 2 anomalies, though the one you receive is random, and often depends on their rarity. However, the benefits they provide are worth the risk. All artifacts in Stalker 2 provide an active effect and at least one passive effect. Some can drastically change how you navigate the open-world game, while others provide invaluable protection to explore even the most hazardous areas.

How to get artifacts

You can get artifacts by equipping your artifact detector when anomalies are nearby. The beeping it emits increases the closer you are to an artifact. You can reach their location by following the detector to where the signal is strongest.

Artifacts emit a low hum when you are near, although pinpointing this sound can be difficult when your detector is beeping with the number of anomalies nearby. We would suggest sticking with your artifact detector to locate these treasures.

We also recommend swapping out your pistol or knife for bolts while trying to get artifacts. Regular Stalker 2 weapons can’t reset or disperse anomalies, whereas bolts can help you avoid taking unnecessary damage in the process. Once you’ve retrieved an artifact, don’t forget to equip it from your inventory.

You can also get artifacts as rewards for certain Stalker 2 missions, though this is a very rare occurrence. Ultimately, if you want to build your collection of artifacts quickly, your best bet is to seek out anomalies.

All artifact detectors

While Stalker 2’s tutorial introduces the Echo Detector, there are a number of artifact detectors available in the survival game. These detectors include alternative features that outclass the Echo, such as directional displays and a wider radius.

Here are all of the artifact detectors we’ve found so far:

Artifact Detector Description Value
Echo Detector With outdated electronic components and subpar usability, this basic artifact detector is only redeemed by its modest price. 2,000K
Bear Detector An improved first-generator artifact detector. Compared to the Echo, it features a more user-friendly radar display and upgraded electronic components. 6,000K

Now that you’re ready to hunt down all the Stalker 2 artifacts, you can head into the RPG game primed to defeat all manner of mutants and monsters. The Stalker 2 system requirements are a must-have for mid-budget systems, though you’ll also want to give our Stalker 2 hands-on preview a read for a hint of what’s to come before our review goes live.
