Everybody, and I mean everybody, loves vampires. Whether it’s Twilight, Blade, What We Do in the Shadows, or Dracula Untold, I’m confident we all have some form of vampire media we enjoy. Videogames have also been filled with the blood-sucking menaces over the years, with V Rising etching itself into history as one of the best. The survival game twist on our favorite garlic-hating shut-ins has been out in 1.0 for some time now, and you can grab it for its cheapest price yet.
You’ve awakened after decades of slumber, and you need blood. That’s how your V Rising journey begins, but you’ll quickly realize that the world is at your feet, and it ‘needs’ your influence to steer it straight. You can build a mighty castle and fill it with converted humans, exploring the survival game’s open world to gather all the resources you need. This gothic fortress isn’t just for your growing army of darkness, however, as you can also personalize your new home exactly to your liking.
As you explore you can pillage towns, delve into catacombs, and decimate bandit camps. You might even come across a fellow supernatural being on your travels, who you can challenge to a duel that inevitably ends in you drinking their blood and acquiring their powers. V Rising 1.0 also finally introduced Dracula himself to the game, so once you’ve built up your castle and abilities, it’s time to take him on.

If you dive into V Rising now, you’ve got a big year ahead. Developer Stunlock Studios says it has huge plans for 2025 that will “redefine” the experience. The developer is planning to add a new region, another faction, a brand new crafting system for powerful bespoke weapons, and a “risk-free” PvP system.
You can grab 45% off V Rising in this Fanatical deal until Sunday February 2 at 4pm PT / 7pm ET / midnight GMT, or Monday February 3 at 11am AEDT. Expect to pay $19.24 / £16.22. Just click the widget below.
